Kendra Wilkinson on Why She Took Hank Baskett Back: Joint Interview
Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett have decided to work on their marriage after a year that’s included a public cheating scandal, Wilkinson flushing her wedding rings down the toilet, and seeing their dirty laundry aired on national TV. Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly as a couple before the former Playmate, 29, left to film I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!, the spouses, who wed in 2009, opened up about the status of their marriage.
“It’s going to take a lifetime to trust him again,” Wilkinson admitted, to which her husband, 32, later replied, “I will spend my life trying to get Kendra to trust me again.”
The specifics of Baskett’s alleged affair with a transgender model in June remain a bit of a mystery, but Wilkinson seems satisfied with the story her husband has provided.
“All I can say is I believe Hank. I love Hank. And he’s proven to me that he’s worth forgiving and fighting for,” she tells Us. “He was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and unfortunate things took place. He’s very gullible and naive.”
Though they’re working on rebuilding their relationship, Wilkinson remembers her distraught state following the news breaking this past summer.
“I would cry myself to sleep every night, not knowing what happened,” she recalled. “I was trying to get what I could out of Hank, but I couldn’t control my rage. It became very volatile between us.”

These days the parents of Hank IV, 4, and Alijah, 6 months, are focusing their energy on mending what’s been lost between them.
“Our relationship is still day-to-day. I’m still working on regaining Kendra’s trust,” Baskett said.
